May 2026

We’re starting to feel the shift—summer is showing up.
Our spring ryegrass is beginning to seed out, so we’ve moved into strip grazing those pastures to get the most out of what’s left. That rotation lets us maximize the forage base before transitioning fully into summer grass.
Across the rest of the farm, pastures have been clipped and are coming back strong. We’re seeing healthy growth in both clover and Bermuda, which will carry us through the summer and into the fall.
It’s been dry the past few weeks, but we finally picked up a good rain. That moisture should go a long way in strengthening our grazing base moving forward.
The cattle are looking strong and healthy right now—exactly what we want to see this time of year, thanks to the quality forage they’ve had access to.
